RPA and RLC MOVE TO THE
ROCKET
The two companies responsible for the
evolution of Robina have taken up residence in its signature corporate building,
The Rocket.
Robina Land Corporation, which initiated
development of Robina in the early 1980s, and Robina Projects Australia, the
tower’s developer, have relocated from another of that company’s office building
developments, HQ@Robina.
The move follows expiry of a lease over
the HQ@Robina premises, which were sold to an investor in 2007 with the two
companies remaining as tenants.
The new 340 square metre premises are on
level eight of the $110 million, 16-level CBDRobina tower, which was completed last
December.
The Rocket has 11,000 square metres of
floorspace above an 1,800 square metre retail precinct and was designed to
serve as CBDRobina’s premier corporate address.
It enjoys a strategic location fronting Lake Lido
at 203 Robina Town Centre Drive,
at its junction with Laver Drive.
RPA General Manager Hylton Slater said it
had always been the companies’ intention to make the tower their base.
“The Rocket through its design, quality
and location, bespeaks the future of CBDRobina as the Gold Coast City’s premier
business centre,” he said.
“It is fitting that the two companies
which have played significant roles in bringing into existence the appealing,
masterplanned community, should have their base in the tower.”
CBDRobina, as the area surrounding Robina
Town Centre is branded, is already established as a medium to high density
precinct and is recognised as a Principal Activity Centre under State
Government and Gold Coast City Council regional economic plans.
CBDRobina
has developed a distinct and unique character within Gold Coast City and has
become a significant central centre within the bustling conurbation that now
extends from the Gold Coast International Airport to northern Brisbane.
Robina Land Corporation has been largely
responsible for residential and infrastructure development at Robina, while RPA
has focused on the evolution of its business centre.
RPA other recent projects also include
office developments Eastside and Campus Alpha; Easy T convenience centre, which
blends residential, retail and commercial elements; Sidewalk on Scottsdale and
The Wharf with apartments above a commercial precinct; and the M1 Business
Precinct where businesses can acquire land in order to develop purpose-designed
facilities.
The Rocket is being marketed by Marcus
Weld of Robina Marketing Australia.
